Al played a pivotal role in Oxford’s investment in the Get Living Portfolio. This included 2,000 new homes and a development pipeline of 7,000 units. A major piece within the portfolio is the Elephant & Castle regeneration scheme which will deliver 1,632 new homes.
In a joint venture with Delancey and Qatari Diar, Al acted as co-development manager on the scheme and achieved planning in 2019. Al advised on the resolution of third party matters and land assembly, including negotiations with London Underground and Network Rail. Al also advised on the community engagement strategy as well as the procurement of the main contractor. The scheme will deliver the largest number of private rental sector apartments in zone 1 and also provides 30% affordable housing, comprising a mixture of different tenures.
